The Place of the Heart offer's short-term residencies for guests in a private non-sectarian retreat setting. As such, those who stay at The Place of the Heart enjoy and honor a practice of quiet peacefulness.
The Place of the Heart is owned, and when in-residence herself, managed by Joy Beaton, an artist, social activist and consultant to non-profit organizations in the U.S. and the world.
Accomodations include a choice of private bedroom suites with private baths. A first floor suite offers a separate entrance, full bath, walk-in closet and access to the immediate grounds and gardens. A second floor suite overlooks the front portico and lawns. A canopied balcony sleeping porch and a garden pleine-aire pavillion let you sleep under the stars in the tree tops or nestled in nature.
Amenities include mangoes,grapefruit,or papayas in season, orchids, access to sunset beach, bicycle, fishing pole and bait box. Aroma or massage therapy by appointment and weekly delivery of organic vegetables available upon request for additional fee. Continental breakfast and refreshments are served daily.
Residencies are generally for 2, 3,or 6 days.
All accomodations are smoke free.
